November is the time that we start thinking about the holidays and preparing our homes for the Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen is a central part of Thanksgiving and since it's in just a few short weeks away, we wanted to share this kitchen renovation with you.
Using reclaimed materials in your renovation add history and character and create something unique to you. Plus, these materials have stood the test of time, so you know you'll be getting very durable materials.
The antique back splash tiles and tiles on the counter tops and floors that we used were from Chateau Domingue. These were found in a French chateau and show how beautifully the old world and new world can come together.
When designing a kitchen, I always like to include a piece of furniture like this wood hutch. Furniture is a traditional "staple" of the old world kitchen design. It brings warmth to the space and provides additional storage space.
Stay tuned for next week's post where we will be talking about the latest trends in design.
